KIPO pushes forwards with the development of “Examination System of Dynamic Design aiming at opening the system next year.
Patent applications on Dynamic Design such as “moving icon” and etc. are expected to be simplified in near future.
KIPO (Korean Intellectual Property Office) released on June 3rd, 2010 that they had been pushing the applications & the examination system of 4dimensional dynamic design using a flesh file, aiming at opening them next year soon after opening the world’s first application system of 3D design last January.
The Dynamic Design is used in case if the movement of goods is not shown, its whole design cannot be fully understood, and ‘the moving toys’, ‘moving icon’, and etc. is a typical example.
Until now, applicants have experienced inconvenience in making several drawings additionally when filling dynamic design applications, but if the new system is introduced, which enables to file the design itself directing dynamic spaces, it seems that the burden of making drawings will be largely reduced.
Meanwhile, the filling system of 3D design application, which has been operated since the beginning of this year, showed that about 200 3D design applications on a packing container, an assembled house and etc had been filled.
